Forums

Gallup Solar holds four forums each year on the equinoxes and solstices to continue the education of the group and community in issues relating to the use of solar energy and living with less impact on Earth's ecosystems.

Our last forum was held Saturday, June 28, 2-5 pm at the UNM-Gallup's Calvin Hall Auditorium, and in the outside courtyards. It was attended by 77 community members.

Our forum set out to answer many questions.

IF our extended community became a future-thinking model GREEN region, WAY BEFORE it was mandated by every level of government...what would be the impact on business, economic development, tourism, local jobs, stable family life, productivity, health? How would our grade, college, and life-long learning teams engage themselves? Cost -- more now, or later?

The solar forum was held September 19, at the Peterson Zah Museum in Window Rock, Arizona. Credit goes to the Tribal Committee and all those involved with Gallup Solar for the success of this forum.
