About Us
We began as a group of citizens seeking to bring affordable solar power to McKinley County. As time passed we realized that we could serve a larger role in our community.
We wanted to continue as a vital part of a movement that is putting people in touch with a real sense of community and a stake in longevity and quality of life of their own
communities all over the world, long after the municipal-scale solar power plant is built.
We hope you might find something inspiring in our efforts and adapt some
of what we've done for use in your community.
We at Gallup Solar have a simply-stated purpose of "bringing solar energy to McKinley Co., NM." The application of this task is much more ardous and monumental.
We are examining the current paradigm of electrical energy development and delivery. We recognize the ability to change this paradigm to one of a regional energy plan involving
large-scale solar energy production.
Our founders' story goes into more detail about our origins.
We hope to serve not only the city of Gallup NM, but also the surrounding Navajo Nation and other adjacent Native American Tribal entities.
